VF Honored for Building a Culture of Health in the Workplace
VF has achieved Gold level recognition in the American Heart Association’s Workplace Health Achievement Index for taking significant steps to build a culture of health in the workplace.
“We are pleased of this accomplishment as VF has developed comprehensive wellness programs to help ensure the personal well-being of our associates,” said Anita Graham, Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. “Our programs include various tools and resources to encourage associates and their families to be on the path to good health, while supporting healthy actions.”
VF is a member company of the Association’s CEO Roundtable, a leadership collaborative of more than 30 CEOs from some of America’s largest companies who are committed to applying evidence-based approaches to improve their employees’ overall health. The Workplace Health Achievement Index was created in partnership with the Association’s CEO Roundtable members, and uses science-based best practices to evaluate the overall quality and comprehensiveness of their workplace health programs.
VF’s Gold level achievement is in the highest recognition bracket among more than 800 companies that completed the Index assessment this year. The Association’s Workplace Health Achievement Index assessment is grounded in data-driven science, and a quality improvement framework. According to the Nielsen 2016 Employee Health Survey, robust and comprehensive strategies for well-being are associated with positive impacts on employees’ health.
